When the Northern Nevada Legal Aid team works in Northern County family court or any rural Northern Nevada location to help those in need, we aren’t acting alone. Our ability to do our work results from a network of volunteers, financial supporters, and pro bono attorneys in Reno, NV, and the surrounding area.
Truly, we couldn’t do it without you. And we need ongoing support to continue to give Nevada free legal aid and provide our Nevada self-help law center. We are always looking for pro bono attorneys, contributors, and volunteers. Here’s how you can make a difference.
If you are looking for places to donate legal services, you have found one. Northern Nevada Legal Aid welcomes all Nevada-licensed pro bono attorneys who are interested in protecting Northern Nevada’s vulnerable residents.
We routinely have pro bono opportunities in family court, child advocacy, the Northern County Detention Facility, and similar areas. We also offer low-cost immigration services in Reno and surrounding counties. Your pro bono work in any of these areas will not only support our Northern Nevada legal aid work but give back to your community and help satisfy Nevada’s professional responsibility rules.

We couldn’t run our Nevada family law self-help services, immigration services, child advocacy work, or domestic violence interventions without the support of our volunteers. You don’t have to be an attorney to help in these areas—we need assistance in various non-legal areas, and any time and effort you can contribute will make an enormous difference.

Offering a free lawyer consultation in Reno takes a lot of financial resources. Actually representing individuals in family court and similar areas and staffing our Nevada self-help law center takes much more. Because we are a Nevada free legal aid organization, we rely on the support of our donors to do what we do.
