More than 26,000 children and adults called a Nevada domestic violence hotline in 2020. Over 105,000 Nevada families face housing insecurity. And roughly 89 percent of children who enter Nevada’s foster care system do so due to neglect. Hundreds of thousands of Nevadans suffer every year because of those three simple facts. And these are only three of the civil justice issues that affect Nevada residents.

In 2021, 8,823 Northern Nevadans received the help they needed through legal advice, our civil law self-help center, and our team of attorneys, staff, and volunteers. Without financial contributions from generous donors like you, fewer people would have access to the justice they deserve.
Still, a simple look at the numbers tells you that the scope of this problem is enormous. We provide legal services to thousands, but tens of thousands more go unserved because nonprofits like ours lack resources. This is not a static problem—as Northern Nevada’s population grows, so does its need for domestic law assistance, children’s attorney services, senior legal services and dozens of other types of free legal aid.
To move the needle, we need your support. Your donation directly enables the Northern Nevada Legal Aid team to deliver free legal assistance and support the Northern Nevada community.
